Dr Nicole James
Lead Clinician and Vein Doctor

After completing her medical degree, Dr James undertook surgical training in London, United Kingdom and attained Membership of The Royal College of Surgeons in 2006. During her surgical training, she had a strong focus on vascular and cardiothoracic surgery. Dr James trained in some of London’s finest teaching hospitals, learning from the leading vascular surgeons and microsclerotherapists in the United Kingdom. During this time, she gained wide experience carrying out vein procedures including varicose vein ligation and strips as well as microsclerotherapy.
Dr James is also a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and she has a strong focus on holistic patient care. She is a dedicated, compassionate health professional who genuinely cares for her patients and achieving the best outcomes for them.
Dr James was personally trained and mentored by Dr Owen Roberts who headed the Crows Nest Cosmetic and Vein Clinic for fifteen years, having performed more than 3000 laser procedures and 25 000 ultrasound guided sclerotherapy treatments and was recognised as a leading phlebologist in Australia.
Upon retiring, Dr Roberts chose Dr James to continue to provide the high standard of clinical care that Crows Nest Vein Clinic has always offered.
Dr James is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Phlebology and keeps up to date with all the latest innovations in the treatment of veins.
Janet Roberts
Sonographer
Janet Roberts qualified as a sonographer at the University of South Australia and has worked in private practice gaining experience in general and vascular ultrasound. She joined the clinic when it was first established in 2004. Janet has extensive experience in the ultrasound treatment of varicose veins including endovenous laser, venous incompetence studies and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy.
